About
A small operation, built deliberately.
Who we are
UnKnown Enterprises is Makaveli and Gemky's independent, self-funded workshop. There's no company structure to speak of — just a shared fund, a shared standard, and a project we care about doing right. Profit isn’t the point; the build is. Most of what comes in goes straight back into the current or next project, with a modest share set aside to support the people doing the work.
The OEM+ standard
Everything we build follows one rule: it has to look like Mercedes-Benz could have built it themselves. If a part or a modification breaks that illusion, it doesn’t make the car, no matter how good it is on paper.
What that’s ruled out so far
- A 6-speed gearbox swap — too far from the period-correct feel.
- A dual hydraulic handbrake — functional, but visually wrong for the car.
- Race-spec brake pads — not in keeping with a road car’s character.
- An UnKnown badge that was simply too prominent on the bodywork.
How we operate
There are no recurring costs and no rushed decisions. Each phase of a project is funded, planned, and completed before the next one begins. It’s slower this way — but it’s the only way we’re interested in building.
The team
Two people, one standard: Makaveli and Gemky.
